Founded in 2017 by Ece Şirin, fine diamond jewelry house Bee Goddess is all about the magical and the mythical.

Consisting of over 900 designs in gold, platinum and silver, expect diamonds and precious gems aplenty with ancient symbol motifs, that are drawn from mythology, alchemy, goddess philosophy, and sacred geometry designed to promote empowerment and personal enlightenment.

And this approach has proven to be a popular one, as the brand is worn by leading women the world over from Beyonce and Reese Witherspoon to Cate Blanchett, Rhianna and Naomi Harris, and then there are the 14 boutiques globally. Jeweler Ece Şirin shares her thoughts on luxury, style, and how she’d like her company to evolve.

Felicity Carter: What was your first memory of style?

Ece Şirin: My first memory of style belongs to my mother’s vibrant, confident and bold elegance and how she expressed herself fearlessly with her fashion sense.

Since then, I have been enchanted by objects that maintain their magic, which is why I am drawn to symbolic jewelry. Symbolism is the language of the heart. The creative spirit of the universe speaks to us through symbols. As a symbol appears in your life, it usually marks the beginning of change. All my jewels empower and inspire people through finding and expressing their inner light.

FC: How, when, why did you get into the industry?

ES: For over 15 years I worked with great companies such as Microsoft and Coca-Cola, but I wanted to create my own brand. I wanted to build a global talismanic jewelry brand to promote personal empowerment, self-realization, joy and new beginnings.

FC: How would you sum up the aesthetic of the brand?

ES: My mantra is less is more. Our jewelry offers elegance meets beauty, power and grace. They are timeless and universal and as they are talismanic, they provide the wearer magical keys to unlock the power of the heart and reveal the inner goddess to manifest their dreams.

The world of Bee Goddess bridges imagination and reality, enriched by mystical references and spiritual insights from sacred symbols, myths and goddess philosophy. This is why I believe a Bee Goddess jewel is not simply something to possess, it is something to live by and be inspired by.

FC: What is luxury to you?

ES: It means light and beauty. Everything that increases your vibration appeals to the spirit and talks to all our senses. I believe Bee Goddess is not a status symbol, but a symbol of the soul. The value of each piece is not measured by its carats, but by the infinite light of the soul of the one who wears it.

FC: What are your long-term goals for the company?

ES: Bee Goddess is the fruit of my lifelong quest for an empowered, enlightened and joyful life. Since we launched the business has grown exponentially. We have opened 14 boutiques across Turkey, we have flagships in London and Baku and two stores opening in Germany and one in Dubai in 2022.

We would like to expand further in the UK and are also looking to grow our retail partners. We have been in the top three jewelry brands in Harrods now for a number of years and we also have outlets in Neiman Marcus, Galleries Lafayette, Isetan and Lane Crawford around the world.
